Obituary

Worcester – Gerard A. Gaudet Sr., 76, of Worcester, died on Monday, January 26th in the Millbury Healthcare Center.

Gerry was married for the last 49 years to Pauline (Audette) Gaudet. He is also survived by his son, Gerard Gaudet Jr. and his wife Jenifer of Leicester; a daughter, Janice Bigelow and her husband Stephen of Sutton; two sisters, Elise Durocher of Quebec and Lorette Cormier of Alberta, Canada; 3 grandchildren, Brandon, Jeremy and Andrew as well as many nephews and nieces.

Mr. Gaudet was born in New Brunswick, Canada son of the late, Antoine and Amanda (LeBlanc) Gaudet. He worked for over 30 years at the Madison Wire Company.

Gerry was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auburn Council #4158 and also the Cardinal Wright Assembly of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. Mr. Gaudet was also active in the Oak Hill Crime Watch and frequently went to the Worcester Senior Center with his wife. Gerry also belonged to of Holy Family Parish.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 31st from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Joseph Church 35 Hamilton St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are on Friday, January 30th from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Gaudet may be made to Holy Family Parish 5 Whitman Road Worcester, MA 01609.
