SALEM – Doris M. (West) Neves, 93, of Danvers, formerly of Salem and wife of the late Albert P. Neves, died Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Ledgewood Nursing Home in Beverly following a brief illness.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Gertrude (Phippen) West.
Mrs. Neves was employed as a Library Assistant at the Salem Public Library for 14 years.
She was a lifelong resident of Salem and member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by one niece, Suzanne Allen of Lehigh Acres, FL, one nephew, James P. Glavin of Danvers and six grand nieces and nephews. Steven W. Glavin, retired U.S. Coast Guard, North Carolina, Kevin S. Glavin of Danvers, Sharon L. Glavin of Ipswich, David J. Glavin of New Bedford, Cheryl L.Fell-Allen and Gregory Allen of Florida and ten great-grand nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one sister, Marjorie A.Gilmore and one niece, Marilyn Glavin.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 30, 2015 at 1 pm in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. There are no visiting hours. Committal service will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
