Thomas Max Jackson
Sept. 7, 1944 - Jan. 23, 2015

Thomas Max Jackson, 70, of Anderson died January 23, 2015 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born September 7, 1944 in Anderson, IN to William Ralph and Margaret (Cunningham) Jackson. He went to Perkinsville School through 8th grade and graduated from Lapel High School in 1962.

He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam in the 9th Infantry Division.

He worked production and was a zone committeeman for Delco Remy before retiring in 1999.

He was a member of New Horizons United Methodist Church; American Legion in Lapel; VFW Post 266; UAW. Local 662.

He loved his dog "Stormy" and was a very giving person to people he didn't know. He liked to garden and enjoyed the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Janet L. (Hilton) Jackson of Anderson whom he married, May 5, 2004 in Sevierville, TN; son, Tommy L. (Monica) Jackson of Pendleton; two step-children, Kylen S. Kelly of Illinois; Kiri S. Kelly of Anderson; three siblings, Patricia L. Jones of Anderson; Richard (Jean) Jackson of Sun City Center, FL; and Jani (Floyd) Hall of Anderson; five grandchildren, Tyler Jackson; Alexyss Jackson; Trystan Jackson; Kenyen Kelly and Joviana Kelly and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Stephen E. Jackson and William L. Jackson and his sister, Marilyn Gustin.

Services will be 10 A.M. on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Gary Cable of First Church of Nazarene. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Military graveside rites by VFW Post 266 honor guard.

Visitation will be from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society.
