James Robert "Boot" Hill, age 67, died at Yalobusha County General Hospital on Saturday, December 25, 2004. He was born in Tula, MS but grew up in Water Valley. He had retired from Holley Automotive where he worked as a tool and die operator.
Robert was a member of Camp Ground Baptist Church. He served his country in the US Navy and was retired from service in the National Guard.
The family will receive friends at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, December 28, 2004 in Henry Chapel at Seven Oaks with Rev. Raymond Aven officiating. Pallbearers are; Joey Champman, Bubba Allen, Steven Ragon, Josh Winters, Justin Ragon, Rob Griffin and Greg Langham. Burial will follow the service in Elam Cemetery just East of Coffeeville, MS.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Hill; Six daughters , Teresa Pass of Water Valley, Saundra Lancaster of Byhalia, MS , Sharon Valient of Bruce, MS , Dawn Ragon of Water Valley, Anita Langham of Water Valley, and Holly Taylor of Water Valley ; A son, Mark Ragon of Water Valley ; A sister, Patricia "Pat" Hill from TN ;His mother, Mrs. Laverne Edwards of Water Valley; Two brothers, Roy Hill of Etta, MS and David Edwards of Water Valley.
