Jackalynn V. "Jackie" (Borry) Francis, a longtime resident of Everett and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following an extended illness. She was 70 years old.
Jackie was born in Lebanon, New Hampshire on March 4, 1944, a daughter of the late Leo Borry and Patricia A. (Walls) Borry. She grew up in Everett where she was educated in the Everett Public School system and graduated from Everett High School. Jackie worked as a Matron for the Everett Police Department for over 20 years and was also the Dog Officer for the City of Everett for several years.
Jackie is the beloved wife of the late William J. Francis. She is the devoted mother of Colleen Costa and her husband Leonard, Albert Reilly and his companion Michelle, Robert Reilly and his companion Donna, Cherylann McSharry and her husband Gerald and Roger "Charlie" Reilly and his wife Suzanne. She is the loving Nana to 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Arthur Borry and the late Kit Borry.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jackie's Funeral on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
