Phyllis S. (Hull) Wooster, 90, of Auburn, passed away Saturday, January 24th in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, Worcester. Her husband of 44 years, Howard R. Wooster, died in 1994. She leaves a daughter, Kim P. Stelmach and her husband Jan of Auburn, with whom she lived; a son, Craig H. Wooster and his wife Jae of Plymouth; a niece and three nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Everett and Eldon Hull.
She was born in Barnard, VT, the daughter of NC and Inez (Johnstone) Hull and lived in Paxton for many years before moving to Auburn. Mrs. Wooster was a longtime member of Paxton Congregational Church. A longtime bookkeeper, she worked for C.K. Smith, Swift Meat Packing, Messier’s Diner, and Mann’s Trailer Sales in Rutland. She graduated from Becker College and enjoyed flowers, gardening, reading, and sitting in the sun.
There are no calling hours. A committal service will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, c/o VNA Care Network & Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
