TAUNTON – Benildo “Benny” Falcao, husband of the late Zelia (Couto) Falcao, died at Golden Living Oakhill Nursing Home in Middleboro on Jan. 21, 2015.
He was 74. Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Manuel and Gilda (Raposa) Falcao.
Benny moved to this area in 1968. A retired machine operator, he worked for Texas Instruments for over thirty-five years.
He enjoyed soccer and was an avid fan of Benfica of Lisbon, and also enjoyed playing cards and dominoes.
Benny was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Falcao of Dighton and Louis Falcao and his wife Maria J. of Taunton; a brother, Liberal Falcao of Lisbon, Portugal; two sisters, Zenida Lopes and Bertha Raposa, both of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; four grandchildren, Tyler, Arielle, Kyle and Trinity; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Olga Cordeiro.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, Jan. 28th at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 26th from 5 to 8 p.m.
