Maria DaGloria (Rodrigues) Rodrigues, 82, of Dartmouth died Tuesday January 20, 2015 at Our Lady's Haven. She was the wife of the late Viriato A. Rodrigues.
Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, the daughter of the late Maria Deolinda Arruda and Anibal Rodrigues, she moved to Fall River in 1958, then lived in New Bedford before moving to Dartmouth in 1972.
Mrs. Rodrigues was formerly employed as a stitcher at Vanessa Manufacturing until her retirement.
She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
Survivors include two sons, Victor M. Rodrigues and his wife Sharon of Dartmouth, and Manuel A. Rodrigues of New Bedford; her siblings, Francisco Rodrigues of Dartmouth, Etelvina Farias of New Bedford, and Anna Arruda of South Carolina; five grandchildren, Brian Rodrigues, Melissa Rodrigues, Heather Jeronimo, Heidi Rodrigues, and Andrew Rodrigues; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Deolinda DeMelo, Jose Rodrigues, and Manuel Rodrigues.
Her Funeral will be held on Friday at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, South Dartmouth at 9 AM.
