Alice M. (White) Turner, 69, of Stonington, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at her home. She was born on April 7, 1945 in Westerly, RI, the daughter of Stanley Prentice and Alice M. (Clark) White.
Alice worked for many years as a CNA at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, retiring in 2010. She was a member of the North Stonington Senior Center and member of the former North Stonington Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Turner of Gales Ferry, as well as 3 siblings, Marshall White of Westbrook, Merrill White of Stafford Springs, and Barbara Banker of Pawcatuck. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Ashley Meardy, Lowell Turner III, and Jacob Turner, and one great granddaughter, Iris Johnson.
Alice is predeceased by her son Lowell “Buddy” E. Turner Jr. who died in 2008 and by her sister, Beverly Gordon.
A Graveside Service will be conducted on Friday, January 23, at 11:00am in Jordan Cemetery, Boston Post Road, Waterford. There are no visiting hours. Donations in her memory may be made to the Old Mystic Fire Department, 295 Cow Hill Road, Mystic CT 06355.
