Bertrand E. Leduc, 81, of Westport, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at home. He was the husband of the late Rose Marie (St. Pierre) Leduc.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Rene and Eveline (Durand) Leduc, he had resided in Westport since 1969. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a machinist for the former Globe Manufacturing of Fall River. A veteran of the Korean War, he served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Leduc was a member of the V.F.W. Ouellette Post 8502 and a communicant of St. George Church, both of Westport. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his 2 sons: Ronald R. Leduc and his wife Julie of Rockland, MA and Richard N. Leduc and his wife Nicole of TX; 2 daughters: Annette M. Soares and her husband David of SC and Diane J. Bienvenue and her husband Stephen of Swansea; 1 brother: Romeo Leduc of FL; 3 sisters: Claudette Coyle, Jeanne Boothroyd and Pauline Cyr, all of MA; 6 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Raymond, Normand and Robert Leduc, Jacqueline Lafleur and Theresa Berube.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 9:00 A.M. from the Potter Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Monday from 5-7 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
