Ray Nichols, 68, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died on Thursday, December 23, 2004 at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, December 27, 2004, at Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00, Sunday evening.
Mr. Nichols was born August 21, 1936, in Warwick, Georgia, to the late Jim and Florence Murphy Nichols. He lived in Fitzgerald for many years and was a former resident of Albany, Cordele and Tifton and Lakeland, FL. Mr. Nichols was a retired farmer and truck driver. He attended the Fitzgerald Church Of God.
Mr. Nichols is survived by his wife: Brenda Nichols, Fitzgerald; Four sons: Jimmy Ray Nichols, Jr., Fitzgerald, Christopher Ray Nichols, Webb, AL, Jimmy and Timmy Nichols, both of Tifton; eight grandchildren; five brothers: Rooster Nichols, Atlanta, Wayne, Gene, Donald and Bug Nichols, all of Lakeland, FL; many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
