WORCESTER, MA / BARKHAMSTED, CT- John Scott Adams, 62, passed away Thursday, January 15 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA after being stricken ill.
He leaves his wife Katherine D. (Witt) Adams of Worcester, MA; two sons, Jason and Mark Adams; his mother, Eleanor (Wabrek) Adams of Avon, CT; two sisters, Kathryn A. Kurtich and her husband Gary of Avon, CT and Holly L. Rines and her husband Steve of Sandisfield, MA. John also leaves several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his father Leland E. Adams and a son, Christopher Leland Adams.
John was born in Torrington, CT, lived in Barkhansted, CT and North Carolina for a period of time prior to moving to Worcester, where he has lived for nine years. He served active duty in the US Army from 1974–1979 and continued with the Army Reserves for many years. John worked as a consultant manager in the computer industry prior to retirement.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 30 Prospect Street, New Hartford, CT on Thursday, January 22 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
