Gordon K. Reitz

Gordon K. Reitz, 81, of Anderson, died January 17, 2015 at Manor Care-Family Tree in Anderson.
He was born on February 11, 1933 in Buffalo, NY, the son of Edwin Reitz and Viola (Haller) Reitz-Nieman. He was a graduate of Anderson College, served in the United States Army, and later served as Vice President and Treasurer of Layman Life Insurance. He and his wife, Sandra G. (Moody) Reitz, who preceded him in death, were longtime members of Park Place Church of God. He also served as a volunteer with the Red Cross of Madison County.
He is survived by his children; Randy ( wife Amy) Reitz of Fishers, and Rhonda ( husband Mike) Moya of Lafayette. 4 Grandchildren: Camden and Caleb Reitz, and Sandy and Jessie Moya, a brother, Robert ( wife Jean) Reitz of Anderson, a sister, Mariann (husband Fred) Nieman of East Aurora, NY, a sister-in-law, Fran Reitz Kaefer of Leesburg, FL and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, and a brother Alfred Reitz
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11 AM at the Park Place Church of God. Friends may visit with the family in the Bessie Byrum Lounge beginning at 10 AM.
Private burial will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
