VAN FLANDERN Erin Marie 17, of Wellesley, Massachusetts, died suddenly on Friday, January 16, 2015. Erin was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 23, 1997.
The beloved daughter of Linette Kammermeier and Geoffrey James, and sister of Elizabeth, Claire and Michael Van Flandern. Erin was a respected member of the class of 2016 at Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart in Newton, Massachusetts. She was an accomplished pianist, swimmer, snow and water skier, tennis player and dancer. She was an involved member of The National Charity League for 3 year and an active parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Parish of Wellesley. Erin loved life and cherished her friends and family. She was a dynamic young woman of energy, hope and caring, and lived her life to the fullest. Her infectious smile and laughter will be remembered always.
In addition to her parents and siblings, Erin is survived by her maternal grandparents Maureen Therese and Ralph Frank Kammermeier of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, her paternal grandparents Aileen Marguerite and James Brian Van Flandern. She was a beloved niece of Michelle and Peter Hedin, Mark Kammermeier and Mary Hinze, Renee and Russell Hopp, Dione and Brian Ross, Carl and Valerie Kammermeier, Meg and Paul Tarvin, Claire and David Elson, and nineteen cousins.
Visiting hours will be held in the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 477 Washington St. (Rt. 16) WELLESLEY Tuesday Jan. 20th from 4:00-8:00pm. Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, Wellesley Hills on Wednesday Jan. 21st at 10am. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart 785 Centre Street, Newton, Massachusetts 02458, for the Erin Marie Van Flandern Scholarship Fund.
