VENTURA
Isabel G. Gamiño, 67 of Ventura passed away Saturday January 17, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Mexico City, July 2, 1947 she was raised and married in Mexico City. Together Isabel and her husband Raul moved to Ventura in 1965. Isabel has lived in the City of Ventura for 50 years.
She touched the lives of countless children as she was a Teacher's Aide for the Ventura County Action Commission (Head Start) for 36 years. Isabel loved children. She loved to take care of children, to read to them, and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed long walks, dancing, and caring for her plants.
She leaves her beloved husband of over 51 years, Raul E. Gamiño; 3 beloved children Raul Jr, Sonia, and Alex; 5 brothers ; 5 sisters ; 4 grandchildren ; 2 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours to be held Friday evening January 23, 2015 from 5 to 8pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street Ventura. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 24, 2015 at 11a.m. in the Funeral Home. Donations may be made in Isabel's name to Vitas Hospice, 400 W Ventura Blvd, Suite 145, Camarillo, CA 93010.
