Edward J. “Ted” Melvin age 84 of Salem, NH, died Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua, NH
He was born in Lawrence, MA, where he grew up and attended schools. He was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 35 years, formerly of Methuen, MA.
Mr. Melvin was a retired Shift Supervisor for Port-Poly of Salem, NH. He also worked for Avco in Lawrence, MA, and Wilmington MA. He was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem, NH. Mr. Melvin was a Sergeant in the US Army Air Force Veteran, serving in World War 2. He was an avid bowler and bowled in several leagues with Avco.
He is survived by his wife: Ethel (Benoit) Melvin of Salem, NH

1 Daughter: Anne Marie & her Husband Stephen Decato of West Virginia
1 Sister: Irene Tanner of Southington, CT

Calling hours will be held Monday morning, December 27, 2004 from 9-10:00 AM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home 214 Main Street, Salem, NH, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at Mary Queen of Peace Church Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA
