Barbara (Cabral) Toni, 74, of Westport died Thursday, January 15, 2015 at St. Anne’s Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of Roger J. Toni, they were married for 54 years.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Manuel and Olga (Vieira) Cabral, she had lived in Westport since 1972. Prior to retirement, she was a teacher at the Espirito Santo School in Fall River for over 30 years. Mrs. Toni was a member of the Westport Quilters and she enjoyed traveling and playing bingo, but most of all she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Including her husband, survivors include 2 sons: Kevin Toni and his wife Ellen of Hyannis and Keith Toni of Westport; a brother: Thomas Cabral and his wife Betty of Dartmouth; a sister: Anna Peironi and her husband John of FL; 2 grandchildren: Matthew and Mikaela Toni; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Potter Funeral Home from 4 – 7 P.M.
Funeral services will be private.
