Matthew J. Wallace, 52

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Matthew J. Wallace, age 52, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, January 15, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Susan M. (DeGeorge) Wallace to whom he was wed on January 19, 2001.
Born in Boston, MA on April 26, 1962, he was a son of the late Lawrence J. and Edna M. (Belanger) Wallace. He grew up in Randolph and was a graduate of Randolph High School.
For the past 17 years, Matt had been employed as a truck driver for Estes Express Line in Avon. He had made his home in Mansfield for 17 years and had previously resided in Rockland and Randolph.
Matt loved the outdoors especially which included a lifelong passion for fishing. He also enjoyed camping trips with his wife Susan and when not engaging in outdoor activities, the simple pleasure of relaxing at home with family and spending time on the computer.
Matt’s other interests included listening to music, attending rock and roll concerts, and he will always be lovingly remembered by all for his remarkable sense of humor.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his stepchildren; Christine Jasset and her husband Alex of Plainville and Stephen Budwitis of Mansfield. He was the brother of John Wallace, William Wallace and Alan Wallace. He was the dear brother-in-law of Jean, Peter, Joe, Ed and Cheryl. He is also survived by 2 step grandchildren as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services and burial will be private. Visiting hours have also been omitted.
