Wavie L. Whitman, 74, passed away Wednesday January 14, 2015 at Hurstborne Care Center.
He was born in Grayson County, KY to Claude Edward & Anna Maude (Logsdon) Whitman.
Wavie was the retired Seafood Manager at Winn-Dixie Supermarket on Dixie Hwy., with 18 years service. He was a Baptist by faith.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; his loving wife: Patricia (Arbuckle) Whitman; a Daughter: Elizabeth Jenkins and a Son: David Whitman.
Survivors include his children: Paula Newman (Eric), Sarah Whitman, and George Whitman (Beth); 17 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren;
a Son-In-Law: Tony Jenkins; a Sister: Clara Franklin and several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday 9:00 AM till 1:00 PM.
