Janis F. Tobin, 71 of Medford, died Wednesday after a long illness in the Kindred Hospital North Shore, Peabody.
Born and raised in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Helen (Readon) and Edmond Cataldo. Janis was an Office Clerk at Century Bank in Medford for 10 years and retired in 2009.
Beloved wife of Carl A. Tobin. Devoted mother of Sean E. Tobin of Winthrop, Andrew A. Tobin and his wife Alexandria of Stoneham, Caroline Purdy and her husband Christopher of Salem. Loving grandmother of Breanna Purdy, Brandon, Aidan and Sophia Tobin. Sister of Linda Cataldo of Medford and the late Carol Powers.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4-8. Interment will be private.
