Jean M. (Sullivan) Adams age 70 of Brockton, died Tuesday January 13, 2015 surrounded by her family at her home. She was the loving wife of Daniel T. Adams. Jean was born and raised in Brockton the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Marie (Bacon) Sullivan and lived in the city for most of her life.
A 1962 graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School, Jean was a graduate of Catherine Laboure School of Nursing and later became a licensed social worker. She earned a BS in social work from Bridgewater State College and her MSW from Rhode Island College. Most recently she had worked at North East Health Services in Brockton.
Jean was an avid reader and was a member of the National Association of Social Workers and Mass. Nurses Association. She will be remembered as the sweetest, strongest, bravest person whose true joy in life was playing with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Daniel, Jean leaves her three children Christopher Adams and his wife Cheryl of Cranston, RI, Marie Sloan and her husband Ron Goodman of Sharon and Rosemary Finn and her husband Eric of Easton. She was the grandmother of Christian and Charles Adams, Jake Sloan, Tyler Goodman and Jaclyn and Jamie Finn. She leaves two brothers Stephen and Arthur Sullivan both of Stoughton and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton on Friday 4-8 pm. A Celebration of Jean’s Life will be at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 am.
