BAR MILLS/PHOENIX- Robert W. King, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 12, 2015 in Phoenix.
He was born in York, ME on March 7, 1952 and was active in Boy Scouts and the Saco River Junior Grange in his youth. He graduated from Bonny Eagle High School in 1970.
Robert went on to proudly serve in the US Army for 12 years which included service in Vietnam.
He is predeceased by his father and step father.
Robert is survived by his mother- Ruth Richards of Bar Mills; siblings- Thomas Richards and his wife Denise of NC, Dorothy West and her husband Jay of Bar Mills, and Brenda Walden of LA; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held this Saturday, Jan. 17, from 3-5 PM, with US Army honors at 5 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. Burial will be at South Buxton Cemetery. Online condolence messages can be submitted at www.mainefuneral.com.
