Mary Ann Kinnett, 63, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Life Care Center in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, January 15, 2015, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Robert Couey officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, from 6 to 8, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Kinnett was born April 11, 1951 in Dooly County, Georgia, to the late Robert Alexander Calhoun, Sr. and Mary Pauline Tomberlin Calhoun. She lived in the community most of her life and graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1969. Mrs. Kinnett worked in the banking industry for 30 years, first for the National Bank and later the Bank of Fitzgerald. She was also the bookkeeper for Sweetwater Homes in Ocilla. After retiring, she catered and enjoyed cooking. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years: Jerry Kinnett of Fitzgerald; sons: Jerry Lee & Joi Kinnett of Fitzgerald and Robert Andrew “Andy” & Becky Kinnett of Fitzgerald; three grandchildren: Hunter Kinnett, Cody Kinnett and Kyle Kinnett; a sister: Leila C. & Earl Beanblossom of Sylvester and a brother: Robert A. & Robin Calhoun, Jr. of Fitzgerald. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that donations be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
