Juanita Morris Dorminy, 82, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at Dorminy Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 22, 2004, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Ronny Griner and Rev. Greg Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Ben Hill County. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00, Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dorminy was born September 23, 1922, in Valdosta, Georgia, to the late Charlie William and Beulah Morgan Morris. She lived in the community most of her life and was a former resident of Hamburg, Michigan. Mrs. Dorminy received her CNA training at Ben Hill-Irwin Technical School and was a former employee of Dorminy Medical Center, Irwin County Hospital, Fitzgerald Mills, the Monarch Sewing Company, Fitzgerald Underwear and cared for people in their homes. She was a member of Crossview Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dorminy is survived by three stepsons: John Larry Dorminy, Columbia, SC, Lonnie C. Dorminy, Hiawassee, GA and Jerry R. Dorminy, Fitzgerald; three grandchildren: Clay Dorminy, Shannan Walker and Matthew Dorminy and six great grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Zary A. Dorminy.
