DERRY, NH – Collinda Ann Grieco, 39 of Derry, NH, passed away January 9, 2015 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, MA surrounded by her family and friends.
Born in Methuen, MA, she was the daughter of Joseph Overka and Simone Blanchette and was a graduate of the Greater Lawrence Technical School in Andover, MA. Collinda had a passion for arts and crafts, music and the outdoors. She was a designer of beautiful jewelry and accessories. Collinda was a fun loving, adventurous and spiritual person who could put a smile on anyone’s face. She deeply loved her family and friends and will be missed by everyone.
Besides her parents she is survived by her husband, Jeffrey M. Grieco of Derry, NH; one daughter, Alayna Grieco and one son, Jacob Grieco both of Derry, NH. Collinda also leaves a sister, Marieline Blanchette of Plaistow, NH; brothers, Donald Blanchette and his wife Chris of Manchester, NH, Daniel Blanchette of Ontario, Canada, David Blanchette of Bradford, MA; step-brothers, Bobby Overka of Boston, MA, Eric Overka of California; step-sisters, Theresa Devito of Florida and Patrica Winter of Washington. Many nieces, nephews and friends.
Collinda was predeceased by her brother, Steven Blanchette.
Visiting hours for family and friends will be Friday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church in Lawrence. Burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
