NATICK: Charles F. Wiles, age 82, a local professional photographer, died on Monday morning, January 12, 2015, after a long illness. He was the devoted husband of Ann J. (Armata) Wiles for 56 years.
Born in Newton, Mr. Wiles came to Natick in 1942. He served with the US Naval Reserve prior to enlisting in the Army during the Korean War. A “Screaming Eagle,” he served in Europe and stateside with the 101st Airborne Division’s 49th Airborne Engineer Battalion, Company C.
Mr. Wiles is survived by his wife Ann; their two children, daughter Lauren Wiles Pelser of Westborough, and son Michael Wiles and his wife Donna of Medway; and five grandchildren; and two sisters, Marcia Wiles and Linda DeLorey.
His funeral will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Saturday, Jan. 17th at 10:00A.M. Burial will follow at Dell Park Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be on Friday, 4 – 8P.M. Donations may be made in Mr. Wiles’ memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, 150 Cambridge Park Drive, Suite 202, Cambridge, MA 02140.
