Obituary

James Harvey Picard, 72, of Pensacola, FL died January 4, in Robertsdale, Alabama. Born September 17, 1942 in Malden, Massachusetts he had been an area resident most of his life. Mr. Picard served as a Sergeant in the United States Army in Vietnam and was a lifetime member of the VFW and the DAV. He retired from Phillips Academy in 2008. He was predeceased by his parents Irene (Martin) & Lester Picard, his sisters, June A. Hicks and Eleanor Peavey and his nephew, James Norton. Mr. Picard is survived by his wife Janet Picard. Two daughters: Maryan Picard Augusta and her husband, Kevin of Lawrence, and Sandy J. Picard of Lawrence one son: Jeffrey Picard and his wife, Julie, of Rowley. His sisters, Beth Ann Wyatt, Joyce Shaw, and Joanne Nickerson, as well as several nieces & nephews. Mr. Picard also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Nicole, Steven, Amanda, Kayley, Joshua and Nathan Picard, as well as 2 great grandchildren, Donell Boykins and Reina Puga and long time friend Mary Dietz of Florida.
