Obituary

Ollie Mae Patton Arnold was born September 28, 1918 and died January 10, 2015. She was fourth from the youngest of the ten children born to Frances Wiesel Patton and George Esklus Patton. Ollie was born and raised in the Sylva Rena community, lived and worked in her adult life in Memphis, Tennessee and had been a resident of Grenada Living Center in Grenada, Mississippi for the last four years. She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ, first in Water Valley and later in Memphis. Ollie had no children of her own but loved each of her nieces and nephews as if they were hers. She was the first to cook a meal or lend a helping hand in any family time of need or gathering. She was not only loving, but was fun-loving and a great joy to her entire family. Ollie will be greatly missed, but remembered in each heart with a personal story.
Services will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, Mississippi on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 3:00 PM with visitation at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at Sylva Rena Cemetery alongside her parents and many other family members. Pallbearers are Robert Earl Patton, George Michael Patton, John Howard Patton, James Carson Patton, Jr., Travis Brooks, and Bruce MacMorran.
Mrs. Arnold is survived by one sibling, her brother, James Carson Patton of Starkville, Mississippi, and nine nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at Grenada Living Center for their loving care and Legacy Hospice for their end of life care.
