Walter T. Winward, 60, of Derry, NH, passed away on Saturday, January 3rd, 2015. He was born on December 4th, 1954 in Melrose, MA. He was the son of the late Walter and Charlotte (Burke) Winward. He was a resident of Derry NH, formerly living in Andover, MA for many years. He was a retired Lieutenant, from the Andover, MA Fire Department.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, vacationing, playing his guitar, and working on projects. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his sister; Carol and her husband Michael Tremblay; three brothers; Thomas and his wife Julie Winward, Albert and his wife Shirley Winward, and Richard and his wife Dianna Winward; as well as his nieces and nephews, Michael and Summer Tremblay, Derrick, Darcy, Tommy, Justin, Cassondra, and Rachel Winward; great nieces and nephew; his Aunt Joan Taibbi, and many cousins.
Private services were held by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Walter’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
