Emily L. (Bernardo) Kenyon, 80, of Mattapoisett died March 31, 2002 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of Harvey H. Kenyon, and daughter of the late Alexander and Rose (Sousa) Bernardo.
Mrs. Kenyon was born and raised in Mattapoisett and had lived in the New Bedford area for all her life.
She enjoyed cooking, dancing, the beach, bird watching and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Brian S. Kenyon, and his wife Debra, of New Bedford; a daughter, Joy P. Levin, and her husband Michael, of Sharon; a brother, Alexander Bernardo of North Haven, Conn.; 3 sisters, Tina Correia of Fairhaven, Rose Farias of Fall River, and Alice Blankenship of Punta Gorda, Fla.; 3 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Frank Bernardo, Josie Bernardo and Mary Miguel.
Her Private Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, April 3rd in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals. Burial followed in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Mattapoisett.
