New Bedford – Muriel A. Taylor, age 74 of New Bedford, passed away, unexpectedly, on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at her home. Born in Acushnet, she was the daughter of Ann (Bock) and Irwin Franklin Taylor and worked as the Licensed Practical Nurse at St. Lukes Hospital for many years until her retirement.
Muriel was a gifted singer, doing both solo work and in her church choir. She enjoyed shopping on QVC and The Home Shopping Network as well as and ordering chicken wings from Dominos Pizza. But most all, Muriel enjoyed the company of her grandchildren.
Her family includes her 2 sons: Kevin Taylor and his wife, Louise, of Rochester and Christopher Taylor and his wife, Sherry, of New Bedford; grandchildren: Isaiah, Lilly-Ann, Joel, Jeffrey, and Ryan; great grandchildren: Liam and Wesson.
Muriel will be cremated and services are omitted. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, Ma.
