William "Bill" Ravenscraft, Jr.
April 25, 1923 - Jan. 3, 2015

William "Bill" Ravenscraft, Jr., 91, of Anderson died January 3, 2015 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus after an extended illness.

He was born, April 25, 1923 in Rushville, IN to William C. and Mary Ann (Weaver) Ravenscraft and graduated from Rushville High School in 1942.

He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during WW II as a Staff Sergeant.

He was a tool & dye maker at Delco Remy 44 years before retiring in 1986.

He was a member of American Legion, Victoria Guild; Madison County Shrine Club; Masonic Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars. From August of1985 until April 2014, Bill volunteered for more than 7,000 hours at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital formerly St. John's Hospital.

He is survived by his niece Jamey Gaines of Panama City, FL; his nephew, Kevin Riley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Beverly Ann (Riley) Ravenscraft died in 2005 and his brother James F. Ravenscraft.

Graveside memorial services will be 1:30 PM on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Caroli Wolfe officiating.

Cremation took place

Memorial contributions may be given to First Presbyterian Church; Wounded Warriors or Heartland Hospice.
