Handren, Charlene A. 58, of Plymouth passed away at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth on January 6. Daughter of Claire (Hartigan) Handren of Plymouth and the late Francis Handren. Beloved sister of Kathleen Ilacqua, Claire Harr, Maura Ross, Kristin Bray, Francis Handren, Michael Handren and Stephen Handren. She also has many loving nieces and nephews.
Charlene was born in Brighton and grew up in Roslindale, graduating from Hyde Park High School. She worked at Tufts Medical Center for a time performing various custodial duties. She was an avid bowler receiving many trophies, loved music, and took great pride helping her sister Kathleen raise her daughters Joan and Katie.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday January 11 from 2-4 PM and Monday January 12 from 10-10:45 AM at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd. Manomet. A funeral mass will be held Monday, 11 AM at St. Bonaventure's Church, 803 State Rd. Manomet.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Bonaventure Parish's Fund for the Needy. Burial will be in Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth, MA.
