Obituary

Consuedo Anita Rock-John (Connie) was born on February 1, 1961 to Carl Crichlow and Norma Rock, in Barbados, West Indies. Connie moved to Boston, MA at the age of 14. She attended the Jeremiah E. Burke High School, where she excelled in her coursework to graduate at the age of 16. She attended Bay State College and received an Associate Degree in Travel and Tourism.

She met the love of her life, Joseph (Lum) John and they were joined in holy matrimony on July 7, 1984. God granted in this union three amazing sons – Corey, Christopher and Matthew.

She gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a member of Bethel Methodist Church (Barbados), Union United Methodist Church and New Hope Baptist Church. As an active member of New Hope Baptist Church, Connie was an officer of Sanctuary, Mass Choirs and the Trustee Ministry.

In addition to her church family, Connie was employed at Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Rosa Parks Daycare Center and her final place of employment was the Children Services of Roxbury. Connie served as a member on various Boards of Directors in the community and was a strong advocate for education and voting. Connie was an excellent seamstress. Connie also enjoyed couponing, as well as participating in Christian activities for her church and her community.

Connie transitioned to be home with the Lord on January 3, 2015. She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving husband – Joseph(Lum) John; three sons – Corey (Shana), Christopher and Matthew; two granddaughters – Kyra and Nia; her parents – Carl Crichlow and Walter & Norma DeGraffenreid; two sisters – Dena and Deidre DeGraffenreid; mother-in-law – Shirley John; five sister –in-laws – Charmaine, Joanne, Jennifer, Avril and Debbie; two brother-in-laws – Gary and Sean; two aunts – Chessel and Celeste; a host of relatives, extended family and friends.
SERVICES:
Funeral Service at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 157 W. Springfield St So End Boston from 11 - 12:30 PM on Saturday, January 10th,
CALLING HOURS:
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Friday from 7-9 PM at the Funeral Home and Saturday 10 - 11 AM. at Ebenezer Baptist Church.

BURIAL:
