Bryant Steven Joseph O’Connor, 26 loving father, brother, terrific son and cherished grandson died Sunday, January 4th surrounded by his family.
He leaves his son, Thayne Joshua O’Connor, his father, Steven Joseph “Okie” O’Connor of Quinsigamond Village; his mother, Barbara Esther (Alexander) King and her husband, Wally; two brothers, Edward Patrick O’Connor and Michael Ryan Joseph O’Connor; paternal grandparents, George and Barbara (Delnegro) O’Connor; maternal grandmother, Sharon Alexander; several aunts and uncles; a nephew, Devin Patrick O’Connor and a niece, Kylie Marie O’Connor who loved having him around and he loved being around them.
Bryant was born in Worcester later moving to Spencer. He graduated from Bay Path Vocational School in the electrical program earning several scholarships to various colleges and was among the top ten in the nation in mathematics. Bryant was an energetic kid with a great sense of humor and a heart of gold always willing to lend a hand to help others. He worked as an electrician, with his father’s company and the contractors that surrounded him. They always boasted about his work ethics and sense of humor. They not only enjoyed working with him, they also became close friends; they loved having him around. One of Bryant’s favorite hobbies was working on motorcycles and cars. Whatever he bought was pulled apart and put back together with his own personal touch, with his mother’s husband Wally. Bryant loved the ocean, joking around and playing basketball and going fishing. He truly loved and cherished his son Thayne Joshua. Bryant had a heart of gold and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
His funeral is Saturday, January 10th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street. A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM in the funeral home
