Selma “Sally” (Haddad) Elias passed away at the age of 93 on January 6, 2015 at the Arbors at Amherst surrounded by her loving family after a period of declining health.
Sally was born in Boston, MA on May 20, 1921, the daughter of Abraham and Selma Haddad. She married Nicholas Elias in 1941 and worked by his side at Hemenway Drug Store in Boston’s Back Bay for many years.
After residing in Arlington for 50 years, she briefly lived in Stoneham before moving to Amherst in 2006 to be near her daughters. Her family always came first, as a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Sally was the dear and devoted wife of the late Nicholas Elias. Loving mother of Janet Saulsberry and her husband Gaylord of Amherst, Thomas M. Elias and his wife Alberta of Saugus, and Elaine Elias of Amherst and her partner George Friel of Arlington. Cherished grandmother “Sittoo” of Jennifer Lapis, Amy Palaia and her husband Lee Cooper, Kirby Paterson and her husband Chris Wolff, Amelia Paterson, Sasha Paterson, Suzanne Freedman and her husband Peter, Christine Elias, Scott Elias, Daniel Elias and his wife Veronica. Great-grandmother, “Big Sittoo” of Zoe, Avery, Elias, Thea, Jacob, Joshua, Noah, and Catalina. Dear sister of Ludia Talbot, Henry Haddad and his wife Lynda Gostowski, and the late Evelyn, William and Namie Haddad. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Sally's Funeral Service was held January 14, 2015 at Our Lady of the Annunciation Melkite Cathedral 7 VFW Pkwy WEST ROXBURY.

Sally was laid to rest with her beloved Nicholas on a snowy hilltop at Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury.
