Harlem, GA – William Lee “Pop” Fincher, 75, beloved husband of 32 years to Eliza Fincher, entered into rest on January 3, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Advent Lutheran Church with Pastor Jason Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens in Thomson, GA.
Mr. Fincher retired from the United States Navy after 22 years of service after which he worked for 35 years in the transportation industry. He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church. He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He also enjoyed travelling, animals and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters; Lisa Salley (Rick) of Harlem, GA, Laura Rippey (Steve) of Reidsville, NC, three grandchildren; Penny Reese, Daniel Barnett, Amanda Long, and four great grandchildren; Abbie, Cade, Morgan and Madyson.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
