Cheryl K. (Scharnowske) Wilson
March 12, 1955- January 3, 2015
Cheryl Wilson, 59, of Anderson, left us to be with her Lord on January 3, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer
She was born on March 12, 1955 in Anderson, where she resided all of her life. She attended Highland High School and was active in many groups including the band. She was a majorette and participated in several state band championships. In 1973, she served as Head Majorette with great respect and dignity. After graduation in 1973, she entered the banking industry where she remained for over 41 years, loyal and dedicated to whomever she served.
She carried that loyalty and caring trait with her into everything she encountered and we were all better by her presence in our lives. She served in many capacities with numerous clubs and organizations for most of her life. She will be greatly missed by us all.
She is survived by her husband, James, daughter Lilli, mother, Mary, and brother, Jay Scharnowske and several nieces.
She was preceded in death by her loving father, Jack, in 2009.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service, with Pastors Ned Clark and Kent Stookey officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research, Cheryl's Gift.
