
Beatrice Plouffe
Mystic – Beatrice Marie (Angleman) Plouffe, 93, after a full and wonderful life, passed away at Mystic Apple Rehab on Sunday January 4th, 2015.
The daughter of the late Alfred and Amelia Angleman, Beatrice was born on November 9th, 1921 at home in Girard, Ohio. She graduated valedictorian from Girard High School and Miami Ohio University.
After college, she joined the Red Cross and served in Europe till the end of WWII. It was there she met the love of her life, Raymond A. Plouffe. They were married soon after returning to the United States.
Beatrice and Raymond settled in Mystic and raised a family of three boys (Larry, David, Philip) and daughter Nancy. Their greatest joys were camping on family vacations and being outdoors all over the northeast. Beatrice was a member of the Mystic Methodist church for over 60 years.
Along the way Beatrice lost her oldest son Larry in 1972 and husband Raymond in 1978. At long last she is with them again. They along with her surviving family were her greatest love. Beatrice’s life was David, Philip, Nancy, her eight grandchildren, their spouses and four great grandchildren.
Her last two years were spent at Apple Rehab in Mystic, were she was treated with love by the staff. The family would like to thank them.
In lieu of flowers, Bea requested donations be sent to the First United Methodist Church, 23 Willow St. Mystic, Ct. 06355.
A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 10th at 2:00pm. Burial will be at the family’s convenience.
