WORCESTER___Anthony Vagelis, 89, of Hermitage Nursing Home, 383 Mill St., formerly of 23 Rydal St., died Sunday Dec. 19 in the nursing home.
He leaves his wife, Dr. Ona (Marcinkeviciute) Vagelis; he also leaves relatives in Chicago and Lithuania. He was born in Stalmokai, Lithuania son of Donatas and Elena (Mockeviciute) Vagelis and has lived here many years.
Mr. Vagelis was an engineer many years for Ashland Corp., and retired many years ago. He was a member of St. Casimir Church.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday Dec. 22, from DIRSA – MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 1:00 p.m. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence St. Entombment will be private in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. A calling hour will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 22 in the funeral home.
