Brandon Timothy Wood, 20 years old, born in Lowell MA on September 21, 1994. Beautiful and loving son to Cynthia Wood and Michael J. Wood. Younger brother to Nicole G. Wood and predeceased by Leonard B. Wood and Gertraud A. Wood, survived by Walter and Sharon E. Cinsavich, and Judith A. Wood, grandparents.
Brandon left us after the strongest fight of his life on Friday January 2, 2015. Brandon grew up in Derry, NH. 2012 graduate of Pinkerton Academy and current student of Manchester Community College.
He was a passionate, adventurous person who did everything in his own unique way. With a soul of steel and a heart of gold, with a mischievous smile that could light up the world, pushing every limit he could. Through the years he was a Derry Boy Scout and played in more recreational sports teams than can be counted, from little league, basketball, baseball, Derry Wolverines, and snowboarding. Really just anything he could do outside and be active. His true passions were football and lacrosse, which he played throughout his high school years as a Pinkerton Astro.
Brandon was a member of the Hampstead Congregational Youth Group and used his immensely large heart volunteering with local charities, soup kitchens, and awareness programs.
He was passionate about every path he took and every dream he had. After high school Brandon joined the Marines and came home only to direct himself on a new path, a new journey with goals of studying mechanical engineering.
We ALL wish that he opened his eyes one more time in the New Year 2015 and continued his journey. Brandon will live forever in our hearts and those his life has touched.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday January 7, 2015 from 4 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services were held on Thursday at 11:00am in the Hampstead Congregational Church, Main St., Hampstead. In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial gifts in Brandon's memory be made to Hampstead Congregational Church (61 Main Street, Hampstead, NH 03841) for distribution to organizations to be determined by Brandon's family at a later date.
