Obituary

Raymond R. Lussier, 57, of Manchester, NH, died peacefully January 1, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family following a valiant battle for 1 ½ years against Primary Liver cancer.
He was born in Manchester, NH on July 22, 1957, the son of Raymond J. and Rita L. (St. Jean) Lussier. He attended local schools, graduating from Manchester Memorial High School in 1977.
Members of his family include his mother, Rita L. (St. Jean) Lussier, sister, Sue (Lussier) Barbeau and her husband Richard A. Barbeau of Goffstown, sister Paulette Lussier of Manchester, NH. He loved his two nephews, Jacob and Jeffery Luce, and his special niece and godchild Michelle Barbeau. He also leaves three great-nephews, Evan, Samuel, Joshua; and great-nieces Keyanna, Stephanie.
He was predeceased by his beloved father, Raymond J. Lussier 11/17/74, his baby sister Doris Lussier 6/1/52, and his brother and best friend, Philippe R. Lussier 8/28/12.
Ray worked as a sheet metal worker for over 20 years. He loved driving around the countryside, especially Mont Vernon; and travelled often to Hampton Beach with Mom and Phil. He loved the outdoors year round, snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle, hiking, but most of all building sand castles at the beach. He was a loving, caring, and giving individual who helped many people throughout his lifetime. Even as his health deteriorated, Ray took care of Phil and Mom, and cut and split firewood every chance he could.
The family would like to thank J. Marc Pipas, MD, and the entire Oncology Team at Dartmouth Hospital, Lebanon, for their excellent care; and Kim Polis, APRN who was always available for us. Also, the Manchester Visiting Nurse Association - Home Hospice, especially Laurie, Ruth and Kathy. Their care and compassion was appreciated beyond measure.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester. Burial will be private at a later date.
