Marylin J. Whiteman
April 8, 1938- December 31, 2014

Marylin J. (McCorkle) Whiteman, 76, of Anderson, died December 31, 2014 at St. Vincent Anderson Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born on April 8,1938 in Carthage, Indiana, the daughter of Charles Raymond and Hazel Marie (Estell) McCorkle. She was employed by the Department of Defense at Ft. Harrison for 27 years and retired in 1994. She was a member of Elm Grove Christian Church and was a 4 H Horse and Pony Leader for over 30 years, and was also a square dance caller.

She will be greatly missed by her children and family. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Phillip Dean Whiteman; four children, Michael Dean Whiteman (wife Debbie), Joyce Ann Baker (fiancé Steve Rushton), Danette Roland, and Phillip Lee Whiteman (wife Lori); a sister, Freda Johnson, a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen McCorkle, 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Ernest McCorkle, Violet Flick, Forest McCorkle, Elizabeth Voight, Emma Jean Bradley, Floyd McCorkle, Chester McCorkle, Raymond, Catherine and Richard McCorkle.

Services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2014 at 1PM at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service, officiated by Pastors Mike Whiteman and Gary Mac Warner. Burial will follow at the Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton. Visitation will be on Monday, from 4-8 PM at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be given to C.O.P.D.
