Eunice M. Kohler, “Pepsi,” age 90, passed away at Weymouth Healthcare Center on Wednesday, December 31, 2014.
She was the daughter of the late Henry and Inez Kohler and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Eunice was a great friend of the late Ethel Colby.
She was a lifelong resident of South Weymouth and dedicated her life to the Old South Union Congregational Church in Weymouth where she served for many years as the Assistant Financial Secretary, was a member of the choir, and rang the church bell every Sunday morning prior to worship services. She also served the wider community as a volunteer with Meals on Wheels. She was an avid Red Sox fan.
Eunice was a Weymouth School Teacher for 31 years in the Hunt School and Central Junior High School before retiring in 1986. During World War II she worked at the Shipyard as a Welder.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Old South Union Congregational Church, 25 Columbian St., S. Weymouth on Saturday, January 3 at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eunice's memory to the Old South Union Church Memorial Fund, 25 Columbian St., S. Weymouth, MA 02190.
