Thompson, Doris M. (Pollock), 89, went peacefully to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday December 29, 2014 with her family at her side.
Doris was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed camping, traveling, flea marketing and shopping. She was a long time member of Ralph Avenue Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Zilphia and Claude Pollock; husband of 65 years, Joseph Thompson Sr.; her brothers, Joseph & Donald Pollock.
Survivors include her five children, Donna Jean Thompson, Ron Thompson, Debbie Johnson, Denise Hinkle & Diane Thompson; a sister, Juanita Tilley; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 – 8:00 PM Friday.
