Whitman – David Oliver Generous 35, a lifelong resident of Whitman, died Monday December 29 surrounded by his loving family, in the Boston Children’s Hospital after a long and brave battle with Muscular Dystrophy. He was the beloved son of Michael J. and Donna M. (Greene) Generous.
For many years David had been a student at the Massachusetts Hospital School of Canton.
He was an avid fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots, had enjoyed music of all kinds, and loved attending concerts.
In addition to his loving parents Mike and Donna he is survived by his brother Tony Generous and his wife Lisa of Whitman, and his grandmother Margaret Greene of Halifax. He is also survived by his niece Julia and nephew and godson Oliver Generous both of whom he adored.
His services will be held Monday January 5 at 8:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman. Visiting hours will be held Sunday January 4 from 2:00-6:00 PM.
