Obituary

Virginia May Flint, 95, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday December 29, 2014, at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, after a brief illness. Mrs. Flint was born in Hooksett, NH on September 22, 1919, and was raised in Franklin, NH. She graduated from Keene State University and taught in Milan, NH where she met Clifton Lloyd Flint Sr. and later taught for the Berlin School system, where she retired in the 1980s. She married Clifton on April 4, 1943 and raised five wonderful children. Virginia enjoyed the love and affection from her family; she was an artist who displayed her work in several art shows. She enjoyed traveling and her grandchildren.

Virginia leaves behind four children, Judith Comperchio of California, Dana Robert Flint of Philadelphia, Thomas Dean Flint and Richard Lee Flint both of Milan, NH, 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Clifton Lloyd Flint Sr. in 2003 and her son Clifton Lloyd Flint Jr. in 1969, and one sister and three brothers.


A funeral service will be held on Saturday January 3, 2015 at 12:00 PM at the Milan Community United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in the spring. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Friday evening from 6 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Milan Community United Methodist Church.
