Richard J. Medeiros, 72, of Dartmouth died December 29, 2014 unexpectedly at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
He was the husband of the late Patricia C. (Amaral) Medeiros.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late John and Lena (Medeiros) Medeiros, he lived in New Bedford before moving to Dartmouth 8 years ago.
Mr. Medeiros was formerly employed by Kay Windsor for many years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, the outdoors and was a former Boy Scout leader.
Survivors include his son, Steven Medeiros and his wife Rachel of Dartmouth; a daughter, Debra Scalf of Rocky Mount, VA; a brother, Donald Medeiros of New Bedford; 3 grandchildren, Steven Medeiros, Olivia Scalf and Bryan Scalf.
He was the brother of the late Ronald Medeiros.
His visiting hours will be held on Saturday, January 3rd from 2-5 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
