Daniel Edward Groselle, Sr., 77, of Lenox died Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2015, at Union Grove Church of God in Eldorado with Rev. A. D. Connell, Rev. Thomas Dorman, Rev. Gerald Lee and Rev. Todd Garner officiating. Mr. Groselle will be laid to rest at Union Grove Church of God Cemetery in Eldorado. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 1, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mr. Groselle will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Groselle’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Groselle, David Groselle, Gerald Peele, Mark Peele, Danny Crumley, Billy Crumley, Joe Crumley, Shannon Dorman, Doug Lease and Michael Lease.
Mr. Groselle was born on March 15, 1937 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and was the son of John Francis Groselle and Dorothy Elizabeth Johannsen Groselle, both deceased. He graduated from the University of Florida and was retired from the City of Tifton. After retirement, he was a cattle rancher and loved visiting family and enjoyed gardening. He was a member of Union Grove Church of God in Eldorado and New River Holiness Church in Berrien County.
Mr. Groselle is survived by his wife, Martha Jean Peele Groselle of Lenox; one son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Kristina Groselle of Macon; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dorothy Groselle of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Martha and Fred McGill of Miami, Florida and Margaret and Buddy Bennett of Ocilla; one brother, Francis Groselle of Hollywood, Florida; one sister, Patricia Lease of Jacksonville, Florida; and eleven grandchildren and their spouses, Jim Mixon, Keri Mixon, Daniel Groselle, Savannah Groselle, Christian Groselle, Mary McGill, Megan McGill, Steven Bernstein, Lee and Brook McGill, Fred McGill and Allison and Pablo Ripoll.
