Obituary

Anthony M. Jadlowe, 82, of New Bedford died Saturday December 27, 2014 suddenly at home. He was the husband of Olive A. (Lavoie) Pimentel Jadlowe.

Born in Hopewell, Virginia, the son of the late Stanley A. and Katherine (Tejera) Jadlowe, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.

Mr. Jadlowe was formerly employed as the meat department manager at Big G Supermarket in New Bedford, and most recently worked at Clement's Market in Portsmouth, RI.

During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of the Whaling City Golf Course and the New Bedford Country Club.

He is survived by his wife, Olive; his daughters, Cheryl Hardy and husband Marshall, Kandy Longlais and husband John, Kim Furtado and husband Alan, and Kelly; his stepchildren, Wayne Pimentel, JoAnn Pimentel Marcell and husband Rich, Andrew Pimentel, and Jane Pimentel Dupont; his siblings, Katherine Jadlowe, Shirley Ferreira, and T. James Jadlowe; several grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 2 - 5 PM in Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, with a Memorial Service to be held at 4 PM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
